A complete north-to-south route
Travel from the Atlantic coast to the Rif Mountains, Fes, the Sahara and the High Atlas without returning to Casablanca between regions.
Long days explained clearly
The Fes to Merzouga stage is a full road day. Approximate distances and driving times are shown so you can decide whether this pace suits your party.
Desert transfer choice
Reach the Merzouga camp by the transfer confirmed in your quotation, choosing a sunset camel ride or 4x4 according to comfort and mobility needs.
Useful start and finish points
Begin in Casablanca and finish in Marrakech, with pickup and drop-off arranged at your hotel, riad, airport or another agreed location.
Your itinerary
Distances and driving times are practical estimates. Traffic, weather, road conditions, meal breaks and photo stops can affect the timing.
Day 1: Casablanca to Rabat
Distance: approximately 90 km
Driving time: approximately 1-1.5 hours, excluding stops
View Day 1 itinerary details+
Your 7 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca begins with private pickup and a short drive north to Rabat, with sightseeing adjusted to your arrival time.
Casablanca pickup
Meet your driver at your Casablanca hotel, riad or airport. The starting time is confirmed around your arrival details and check-out arrangements.
Optional Casablanca visit
When the schedule allows, pause at the Hassan II Mosque exterior or add a suitable Casablanca stop before leaving the city. Late arrivals travel directly to Rabat.
Rabat landmarks
Visit the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum and Kasbah of the Udayas when opening hours and the starting time allow.
Arrival in Rabat
Check in to your selected riad or hotel in Rabat. Dinner is free for you to choose locally.
Travel note: Casablanca and Rabat sightseeing depends on the pickup time. Your confirmed plan will prioritize the visits that fit comfortably rather than promising an impractical first day.
Day 2: Rabat to Chefchaouen
Distance: approximately 245 km
Driving time: approximately 3.5-4 hours, excluding stops
View Day 2 itinerary details+
Leave the Atlantic plain after breakfast and travel north toward the Rif Mountains and Chefchaouen.
Morning departure
Depart Rabat after breakfast, with a comfort stop arranged during the journey north.
Rif Mountain road
The scenery becomes greener and more mountainous as the road approaches Chefchaouen. Short viewpoints can be added without fixing an exact timetable.
Chefchaouen medina
After check-in, walk independently through the blue lanes and spend time around Outa El Hammam Square.
Optional Spanish Mosque viewpoint
If daylight, weather and walking conditions are suitable, the Spanish Mosque path offers a broad view over the town.
Travel note: The final approach is on slower mountain roads. Keep comfortable shoes accessible for Chefchaouen's stepped lanes.
Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes
Distance: approximately 200 km
Driving time: approximately 3.5-4 hours, excluding stops
View Day 3 itinerary details+
Use the morning for a final walk in Chefchaouen, then continue southeast to Fes for an evening arrival.
Free morning in Chefchaouen
Return to a favorite lane, browse local shops or have a relaxed breakfast before meeting your driver.
Journey to Fes
Travel directly toward Fes with a practical refreshment stop. Volubilis and Meknes are not part of the standard seven-day route because they would reduce the limited time available in Fes.
Fes arrival
Check in to your selected riad or hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short orientation or free time near your accommodation.
Travel note: This itinerary does not promise a full guided Fes medina tour. A complete guided visit needs more time and is best added with an extra Fes night.
Day 4: Fes to Merzouga via the Middle Atlas
Distance: approximately 470 km
Driving time: approximately 7-8 hours, excluding stops
View Day 4 itinerary details+
An early departure begins the longest road day, crossing the Middle Atlas before descending through the Ziz Valley to the Sahara.
Ifrane and the cedar region
Pause in Ifrane and continue through the Middle Atlas. A short stop near the Azrou cedar forest is included when weather, daylight and road conditions make it practical.
Midelt lunch stop
Break for lunch around Midelt or another suitable town on the route. Lunch is paid locally.
Ziz Valley and Erfoud
Continue through changing plateau scenery to a Ziz Valley viewpoint, then pass Erfoud on the final approach to Merzouga.
Merzouga camp
At the dune edge, continue to the private desert camp by the transfer confirmed in your quotation: a sunset camel ride or 4x4. Dinner is served at camp.
Travel note: This is one of the longest driving days. The early start protects time for essential breaks and the desert transfer before nightfall.
Day 5: Merzouga to Todra Gorge and Dades Valley
Distance: approximately 300 km
Driving time: approximately 5-6 hours, excluding stops
View Day 5 itinerary details+
Leave the dunes after breakfast and travel west through oasis towns and limestone gorge country to Dades Valley.
Sunrise and camp departure
Wake early for an optional sunrise, have breakfast at camp and return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 according to the confirmed transfer plan.
Rissani and Erfoud
Stop in Rissani when its market and the day's timing make the visit practical. A fossil workshop near Erfoud can also be visited if requested.
Tinghir and Todra Gorge
Continue through Tinghir to Todra Gorge for time beneath the high rock walls and beside the riverbed.
Dades Valley overnight
Drive on to Dades Valley, check in to a selected riad or hotel and have dinner at the property.
Travel note: Day 5 leaves the Sahara and ends in Dades Valley. It does not include another camel ride or a second desert-camp night.
Day 6: Dades Valley to Ait Ben Haddou
Distance: approximately 170 km
Driving time: approximately 3-4 hours, excluding stops
View Day 6 itinerary details+
Follow the southern kasbah route through the Rose Valley, Skoura and Ouarzazate before reaching Ait Ben Haddou.
Rose Valley and Kalaat M'Gouna
Leave Dades after breakfast and travel through the Rose Valley. Seasonal scenery and cooperative stops vary through the year.
Skoura and Ouarzazate
Continue past the Skoura palm oasis. A stop in Ouarzazate is included when the chosen visit and opening hours fit the day.
Ait Ben Haddou
Arrive near the UNESCO-listed ksar with time to explore independently. A local guide can be added to the quotation when requested.
Evening near the ksar
Check in to your selected accommodation near Ait Ben Haddou and have dinner at the property.
Travel note: The local guide at Ait Ben Haddou is optional and is not included unless it appears in your written quotation.
Day 7: Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech
Distance: approximately 180 km
Driving time: approximately 3.5-4 hours, excluding stops
View Day 7 itinerary details+
After breakfast, continue with the same private driver across the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.
Mountain departure
Leave Ait Ben Haddou after breakfast and climb toward the High Atlas road.
Tizi n'Tichka Pass
Cross the winding Tizi n'Tichka route with safe scenic viewpoints chosen according to weather, traffic and road conditions.
Marrakech arrival
Descend toward Marrakech for drop-off at your hotel, riad, airport or another agreed location. No accommodation is included after drop-off unless added to the quotation.
Travel note: Share any same-day flight time before booking. The mountain crossing can be slower in poor weather or heavy traffic.
