Watch the evening light over Erg Chebbi, have dinner at camp and stay in a private tent with real beds. Sandboarding is available when equipment and conditions allow.
Travel note: Desert activity timing may move with daylight, heat, wind and the season. The day includes shorter road sections than Days 1 and 3, but stops still affect arrival time.

An Unforgettable Journey from Marrakech to Fes
★★★★★This three-day tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. The drive through the Atlas Mountains was beautiful, and we enjoyed visiting Ait Ben Haddou, the Dades Valley and Todra Gorge. The night in the Merzouga desert was unforgettable. The sunset camel ride, delicious dinner and traditional music at the camp made the experience very special. Our driver was friendly, professional and always gave us enough time to enjoy each stop. Although it was a long journey, everything was well organized and allowed us to discover many different parts of Morocco before arriving in Fes. We highly recommend this tour.
The Perfect Way to Travel from Marrakech to Fes
★★★★★We chose this tour because we wanted to travel from Marrakech to Fes while also experiencing the Sahara Desert, and it was the perfect choice. The landscapes changed every day, from the High Atlas Mountains and ancient kasbahs to the valleys and golden dunes of Merzouga. Sleeping in the desert camp and watching the sunset from the dunes was an incredible experience. Our driver was kind, knowledgeable and drove safely throughout the journey. The accommodations were comfortable, the meals were good and everything was arranged smoothly. This tour is a wonderful option for travelers who want to experience more of Morocco instead of taking a direct journey to Fes.
Important Note About Driving Times
This route includes significant time on the road. Day 1 crosses the High Atlas Mountains on a winding pass, while Day 3 is the longest stage as the journey continues from Merzouga through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas to Fes.
Stops are arranged for meals, viewpoints, photographs and comfort, but road conditions and seasonal traffic can change arrival times. This three-day itinerary suits travelers comfortable with meaningful driving. For a softer pace, consider the 4-day Marrakech to Fes tour via Merzouga.
